Fairness and Inclusion

I support all Kentuckians regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or national origin. We remain stronger as a nation, a state, a district by respecting others and bridging cultural ties. Diversity of people and ideas better prepares Kentucky and the district to attract new businesses and maintain the best and brightest workforce possible.

To create a more just society will require comprehensive, structural change and financial investment. This means re-prioritization at the federal budget level to support states like Kentucky. The public sector's involvement is necessary because capitalism's design nor intent is to fix deeply entrenched, social problems. In 2017, the current Republican administration eagerly signed into law a $1.5 trillion tax cut for the wealthy and increased military spending beyond the Pentagon’s requested amount in 2020. Now, the time has come for greater investment in human capital and strengthening social infrastructure to transition struggling communities. This means affordable healthcare for all Kentuckians, a free college education for middle and lower income Kentucky families, and substantive criminal justice reform. I will advocate with our Kentucky federally elected officials to push for these necessary changes and help Kentucky become a stronger place to live.
